GB Lifts - Hydraulic
At GB Lifts we find that hydraulic lifts are particularly favoured in buildings up to 5 floors and
where financially there are constraints on the spending budget. Whilst the quality of the lift
and installation does not differ to that of a traction, hydraulic lifts offer the following benefits:
- A hydraulic lift uses power only in the ‘up’ direction. It uses gravity to travel downward with a small amount of energy operating the valves
- Because the hydraulic pump and motor equipment is outside the lift well or self contained, the service engineers spends less time in the lift shaft itself and can carry out most service work in complete safety
- Headroom heights and pit depths tend to be less on a hydraulic lift
As well as the traditional hydraulic lift with motor room, we offer two designs of hydraulic motor roomless
lifts with the pump and controller housed within the shaft (hydraulic mrl) or with a stand alone cabinet
that can sit up to 20m away from the shaft and at any floor (hydraulic mrl with cabinet).
